Bridgeport News: Pursuit Ends In Crash

#Bridgeport Ct-- Scott Appleby of the Bridgeport Emergency Communications said in a release: At 1213hrs the Bridgeport Police Taskforce called out a pursuit in the 400th block of Taft Avenue. On-scene reports indicated parties fled from police and caused a MVA while striking multiple vehicles. Reports indicate that three parties were detained and a firearm was recovered. Bridgeport News: 8 Year-Old Hit In A Shootout

#Bridgeport CT--On Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 11:07 PM, the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center received a notification from ShotSpotter for the 300th block of Orchard Street. Bridgeport Police and AMR (Ambulance) were sent to the location. According to reports from the scene, two unidentified individuals were firing guns at each other, and unfortunately, an 8-year-old child was accidentally grazed by a bullet near their ear. The child was taken to the hospital, but the injury is not life-threatening. The Bridgeport Police Detective Bureau is currently investigating this incident.

Bridgeport News: Teen Shot

On July 20, 2023, at approximately 8:05 pm a ShotSpotter activation occurred within the 500 block of Trumbull Avenue (9 rounds fired - BPD CFS 23-58860).    A short time later a 16-year-old Stratford teen presented at an area hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.  This is reported to be a non-life-threatening injury.  The victim was transported to the hospital via private vehicle.  The victim’s parent/guardian has been notified and responded to the hospital. No further information at this time. Bridgeport News: Homicide Arrest

#Bridgeport CT-- On April 17, 2023, Detectives from the Bridgeport Police Homicide Squad confirmed with law enforcement agencies in Ohio (Cuyahoga County PD & Solon PD) they had in their custody Ainsley Forbes. Ainsley Forbes, also known as (aka) Derrick Francis, is wanted out of Bridgeport CT for the April 6, 2023, murder of Brianna McKoy. In addition to this extraditable warrant, Francis also faces gun charges in Ohio. Solon Ohio Police Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in their jurisdiction where Francis was observed fleeing the vehicle on foot. Police engaged him in foot pursuit and made a quick apprehension. A loaded firearm was found in the vehicle. Francis is being held in Ohio as a fugitive from justice.…
