Tuesday 2023-07-26@ At 4:18 PM, the Bridgeport Emergency Communication Center received a 911 call informing them that a man had been stabbed on Kossuth Avenue. According to initial reports from the scene, the person had suffered a stab wound on the arm. The officers who arrived at the location mentioned that the injured person was not cooperating.The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a serious injury.

They reported that someone with a gunshot wound had been brought to their emergency room,but the injury was not life-threatening. #Bridgeport Ct-- Scott Appleby of the Bridgeport Emergency Communications said in a release: At 1213hrs the Bridgeport Police Taskforce called out a pursuit in the 400th block of Taft Avenue. On-scene reports indicated parties fled from police and caused a MVA while striking multiple vehicles. Reports indicate that three parties were detained and a firearm was recovered. #Bridgeport CT--On Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 11:07 PM, the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center received a notification from ShotSpotter for the 300th block of Orchard Street. Bridgeport Police and AMR (Ambulance) were sent to the location. According to reports from the scene, two unidentified individuals were firing guns at each other, and unfortunately, an 8-year-old child was accidentally grazed by a bullet near their ear. The child was taken to the hospital, but the injury is not life-threatening. The Bridgeport Police Detective Bureau is currently investigating this incident.

On July 20, 2023, at approximately 8:05 pm a ShotSpotter activation occurred within the 500 block of Trumbull Avenue (9 rounds fired - BPD CFS 23-58860). A short time later a 16-year-old Stratford teen presented at an area hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. This is reported to be a non-life-threatening injury. The victim was transported to the hospital via private vehicle. The victim’s parent/guardian has been notified and responded to the hospital. No further information at this time.
