Bridgeport News: Fight And Arrest After Crash

2020-04-26@10:30pm–#Bridgeport CT– A man crashed into a number of parked cars on Stratford Avenue near Wilmont Avenue and attempted to flee but neighbors allegedly fought the man who tried to flee the scene.  The man has been arrested and will get a free trip to 300 Congress Street after he is treated at the hospital.

Bridgeport News: Fire In An Abandoned House

2020-04-26@5:30pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters were called to a fire in the 1300 block of Iranistan Avenue (near Behanm Avenue).  When firefighters arrived they had smoke showing from the front door and discovered a fire in the basement.  The fire extended to the first floor but they quickly extinguished the fire.  Their primary and secondary searches found no one inside the house.  There was a fire in the same home a year ago but the building has been vacant since.  There were no reported injuries and the fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.

 

Bridgeport News: Two Stabbings In Town

UPDATE: There were actually two stabbings, this one at 115 Yale Avenue with no real details. A SECOND stabbing happened at Greene Homes Building 5 and that is where the girlfriend stabbed her boyfriend on the lip and in the cheek just below the eye. Both calls happened at the same time frame.

 

2020-04-24@11:00pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police and EMS were called to the apartment building at 115 Yales Street where a man was allegedly stabbed in the upper cheek by his girlfriend.  Detectives are investigating.

 

Bridgeport News: Man Assaulted by Man With Golf Club

2020-04-24@4:09pm–#Bridgeport CT– A man was assaulted and bleeding from the mouth at Porter and North Avenue.  The suspect fled on foot, wearing a burgandy top and shiny gray pants.  Police lost the suspect fleeing near the International Market.
