State police received calls of a person in a Jeep Grand Cherokee on I-95 exit 27 with a handgun shooting down at bikers on the city street. Both police departments are investigating.

Police UPDATE: On Sunday April 26, 2020 at 2313hrs a BPD Officer came over the radio reporting that a vehicle just attempted to strike him as he was approaching it near Huntington Road and East Main St. The vehicle, that was determined to be stolen out of Greenwich based on the plate information provided by the officer began to flee at a high rate of speed leading police on a short pursuit towards the highway. Once approaching the highway, BPD called off the pursuit however; all surrounding PDs along with the State were provided the description of the vehicle and license plate over the police hotline. 2020-04-26@10:30pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man crashed into a number of parked cars on Stratford Avenue near Wilmont Avenue and attempted to flee but neighbors allegedly fought the man who tried to flee the scene. The man has been arrested and will get a free trip to 300 Congress Street after he is treated at the hospital. It sounds like he will need our sponsor!
2020-04-26@5:30pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to a fire in the 1300 block of Iranistan Avenue (near Behanm Avenue). When firefighters arrived they had smoke showing from the front door and discovered a fire in the basement. The fire extended to the first floor but they quickly extinguished the fire. Their primary and secondary searches found no one inside the house. There was a fire in the same home a year ago but the building has been vacant since. There were no reported injuries and the fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
