2019-06-24 1:34am–#Bridgeport CT– On June 24, 2019 at 0134 hours, a shooting incident was reported at 684 Bishop Avenue. Upon arrival, patrol officers located a 30 year old male victim in the driveway of this location suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim died on the scene. Detectives responded and are processing a crime scene at this location. Detectives are working to establish a motive and ask that anyone with information call the Bridgeport Police Department Tips Line at 203-576-TIPS.

2019-06-24 @ 11:20pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police were alerted about two men who locked themselves inside the Laundry Shack at 747 Arctic Street. When the business is closed the steel gates automatically close. It is thought the burglars were going to try and break-in to the Deli and Grocer Mini Market next door after they closed. Police along with K9 were able to apprehend one of the suspects. After a through search of the business no one else was located.

5:05pm–#Bridgeport CT– Firefighters were called to a bedroom fire on Simms Street (South End off Iranistan Avenue) . Firefighters quick response kept the fire confined to the bedroom. A charred mattress is thought to be the source of the fire, the fire marshal was called to investigate. There were no reported injuries and the Red Cross will be providing emergency assistance for four adults.
