12:39am--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- Police attempted to pull over a U-Haul truck around Lindley Street and the van refused to stop. The van made its way up to the upper East Side colliding with a car at East Main and Berkshire Avenue and then into a parked car. The driver of the car and the van were injured and trasnported by EMS to the hospital. Police recovered firearm along with other evidence they found in the van. Bridgeport News: Pursuit Ends In Police Involved Shooting
6:41pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A pursuit for an alleged stolen vehicle that started near Granfield/Palisades Avenue area wound its way on Boston Avenue into Stratford ending at the dead end street of Seymour Street. Radio reports indicate a shot was fired from police when she tried to ram the police car and either a bullet fragment or glass fragment entered the woman. Chief AJ Perez reminded me that he cannot comment and protocol is that state police take over the investigation and he cannot comment. The woman’s injuries do no appear to be life threatening.

Connecticut Post reporter Daniel Trepfer reports Sabrina DaSilva was shot nine times on July 3rd. The suspect, Walter DaSilva, 45, a Brazilian citizen is being held on $500,000 bond pending and extrication hearing. The Post reports that “he was also held on a warrant charging him with violating his probation on a 2002 conviction in Massachusetts for aggrevated assault with a weapon and attempted murder”.
