11:44pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A Sanford Place woman was parking her car when she was approached by a masked man with a gun when a heavy set Hispanic woman hit him with her purse and the man fled according to radio reports. As I was writing this up a second call on Norman Street came in about possibly the same man, armed, grabbing a woman by the hair and trying to take her car. 300 Pounds Of Food Donated To Bridgeport Rescue Mission
How about some likes for the arents, children and staff that came together at Creative Starts Learning Center in Stratford to help collect and donate food for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Together they donated over 300 pounds of food to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission for those in need during the holiday season. Way to go!
State Levies Stop Work Orders At Jewish Health Service Work Site
12:11pm--#Bridgeport CT (11/25/2015)-- Police were called to the work site of the New Jewish Senior Services at 4200 Park Avenue but found a peaceful assembly of workers that were prevented from working. Senior organizer Ted Durarte told me that 86 workers have been replaced by subcontractors misrepresenting as employees and the contractor concealing payroll. Duarte said the employees were paid in cash. What the workers are looking for is a level playing field and that the contractors not cheat the state of payroll taxes and workman's compensation benefits.
Bridgeport News: Man Sliced After Robbery Attempted
9:51pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Use caution on upper Main Street. A man was sliced on his arm after a robbery attempt outside the Wlagreens at 4083 Main Street according to radio reports. The victim then walked to St. Vincent's Hospital where they are now treating him. He said there were two assailants, a black male and a dark skinned Hispanic male. One wore a ski mask.
