(Bridgeport, CT – July 1, 2014) – Two city men face charged in connection with an armed street robbery that occurred Thursday. According to Detective Art Calvao, the robbery happened near the intersection of Reservoir and Woodrow avenues. The victim had been assaulted, threatened with a firearm and robbed of his cell phone and cash. Through this investigation by detectives, two suspects were identified and detectives set up surveillance at their residence on 218 Douglas St. Monday. (Bridgeport, CT – June 30, 2014) – An anonymous tip led police to arrest a city man on narcotics charges. Officer Sarah Nestlen and Matthew Goncalves responded to the 600 block of Fairfield Avenue Saturday on the report of drug activity. Police received information that the dealers hid the drugs in a small box connected with a magnet to the undercarriage of a car. Police detained two people. The owner, Darryl Woolford, 51, of William Street, granted permission for police to search the car and officers located the box where the tipster stated.
