FAIRFIELD POLICE INVESTIGATE ARMED CARJACKING INCIDENT
FAIRFIELD, CT – On October 27, 2024, at approximately 9:55 AM, the Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center received a report of an armed carjacking in the area of Walls Drive and North Benson Road. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who reported that they were stopped at a red light in their Porsche 911 Carrera when a gray BMW 5 Series with a misused Connecticut plate cut in front and blocked their vehicle. A male suspect exited the passenger side of the BMW, approached the driver’s side window, and demanded the driver exit the vehicle. No injuries were reported during the incident. Fairfield Health Department to Hold Additional Vaccination Clinics FAIRFIELD, Connecticut (October 25, 2024) – The Fairfield Health Department has a few more opportunities for residents to receive the flu vaccine. The single best way to protect yourself and those around you from the flu is to get vaccinated. It is recommended that everyone over the age of 6 months receive the flu vaccine every year. Fairfield Emergency Communications received two calls of a red SUV that crashed into a utility pole in the 400 block of Congress Street. The driver then left the scene towards Black Rock Turnpike. Fairfield News: Child Struck By Car
https://youtu.be/78vG6j0J8ZU Police said: On October 21, at approximately 4:20 PM, a report was received of a child being struck by a vehicle in the area of Burroughs Road and Fairfield Woods Road. The 12-year-old was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for what appear to be minor, non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was cited for violating CGS 14-300(c), Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk. Excessive sun glare is believed to have been a contributing factor in the incident. Report of a child that was struck by a car around the 800 block of Burrows Road in Fairfield. There was no extrication and there is no information on the child's condition at this time.
