The person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Fairfield Man Rescued From Fire. FAIRFIELD, CT, 5/3/2022 : At approximately 5:06 AM, the FairfieldRegional Dispatch Center received a call from a passerbyreporting smoke and fire coming from a house at 577 KingsHighway East in Fairfield. Car 3, Engine 2 and Ladder 2 arrivedwithin four minutes of dispatch and reported fire showing fromthe first floor of a residential home. Engine 2, under thecommand of LT Robb Delmhorst, quickly attacked the fire whileLadder 2 conducted a search of the residence. A male victim wasfound on the first floor and removed by fire personnel to anawaiting AMR ambulance who initiated advanced life supporttreatment. On-Star called police reporting an accident of Chevy Colorado which turned out to be the striking vehicle. On-Star gave the subscriber's address on Ruane Street and police located the vehicle in St. Thomas's parking lot with heavy front end damage and deployed air bags driving erratically and took the person in custody.
