Fairfield News: House Fire

2020-06-24@5:20pm--#Fairfield CT--#ctfire-- Firefighters were met with heavy fire coming from the right side on the second at a home on Shoreham Terrace.  Firefighter quickly knocked down the heavy fire but it took them almost an hour to put out all the hot spots.  The fire also extended into the attic.  There were no reported injuries and the fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.

Fairfield News: Former Housekeeper Caught Taking Items

2020-06-23@ 12: 30PMish--#Fairfield CT--Police said on Tuesday a former housekeeper with bi-polar disorder and acting with unusual behavior went to the house on Spring Hill Road and took items while the daughter was home and confronted her. Fairfield Phase 2 Openings

In the Town of Fairfield, Effective June 20th: All playgrounds will open. Please be sure to maintain physical distance from others, use hand sanitizer before and after visiting, and face coverings are required when you can't keep a safe distance from others.  We reopened the Beach at Lake Mohegan which is open daily from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.  The concession, bathrooms, and Splash Pad at the lake will also be open. Lifeguards will regularly clean the splash pad's activation button. Fairfield Senior Transportation is back!

Fairfield Senior Transportation is back! Transportation services have resumed on a limited basis for medical appointments and grocery shopping. Reservations for rides are first-come, first-served for shopping and medical appointments and must be made no less than one week in advance. Please call the senior center for more information: 203-256-3166. The number of riders per trip is limited to four. For those who do not live in Senior and Disabled Housing, Fairfield Senior Transportation will provide rides on fixed routes based on neighborhoods either Tuesdays or Thursdays each week.
