2020-05-07@10:30am--#Fairfield CT--Last night police were looking for a missing teen. Police used bloodhounds trying to locate him but the night hampered the search. Early this morning firemen volunteered their time to search for the teen and found him deceased in the Cascades section of Lake Mohegan. Fairfield News: Man Rams Police Car

2020-05-04--#Fairfield CT--A citizen reported a disabled vehicle on Stratfield Road at Montauk Street.  Officers located the Chevy Impala in the eastbound lane of Stratfield Road at Brooklawn. Parkway. Officers observed that the operator was slumped over unresponsive in the driver's seat. The driver had a full bottle of malt liquor in his lap and his left knuckles had lacerations and blood on them. All of the doors to the vehicle were locked, the vehicle's gear shifter was in drive, and the driver's foot was on the gas.   Officers positioned a patrol vehicle in front of the suspect's vehicle to prevent it from driving forward unintentionally, before attempting to awake the operator. Fairfield News: Woman Bleaches Her Nasal Passage

UPDATE: The Fairfield Emergency Communications Center received a 911 emergency phone call on Thursday afternoon from a Fairfield resident that mistakenly used a bleach solution in place of distilled water for a home nasal rinse.  Emergency Telecommunicators initiated a 3-way phone connection with the Connecticut Poison Control Center at UCONN Health to provide immediate medical advice over the phone to the resident. LT John Calandriello with firefighters of Engine 5 arrived on scene within 3 minutes of dispatch and found the resident had accidently used a homemade bleach solution from a distilled water bottle container labeled as “chlorine” on one side. Paramedics from American Medical Response attended to the patient and assessed their health condition.  Luckily, no immediate hospital transport…

Fairfield Parks And Beaches Update

The most recently published data shows Connecticut has 26,312 positive cases, 2,089 deaths, and 1,732 hospitalizations. Fairfield County has 10,874 confirmed cases and 747 associated deaths. The Town of Fairfield has 365 residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 and a total of 44 of our residents have lost their lives. Of the 365 residents who have tested positive in Fairfield, 154 have reported that they have fully recovered. Fairfield Police Warn of Sextortion

FAIRFIELD — Chief Christopher Lyddy and the Fairfield Police Department would like to warn residents of recently reported "sextortion" phishing scams and remind residents of important safety tips regarding scams. In recent weeks, the Connecticut Intelligence Center (CTIC) has received reports of "sextortion" phishing scams from citizens throughout the state. The scam often involves victims receiving an email from a purported hacker claiming to have hacked their computer and filmed them watching pornography. The scammer then threatens to forward the material to all of the victim's contacts unless the victim pays a Bitcoin ransom. The email received by the victim oftentimes addresses the victim by name and references one of their passwords, often in the subject line. It is believed that the…
