Stolen Box Truck

2020-02-13@11:30AMish-- #Fairfield CT-- A box truck that was stolen out of New York was located on I-95 northbound by state police near exit 18.  The pursuit continued to exit 21, Mill Plain Road.  The truck then attempted to get back on I-95 southbound but struck a guardrail on the on-ramp rolling the truck over.  State police had their K-9 with them who then took a bite out of crime.  The on-ramp was closed until 12:50pm but is now reopened.

Fairfield News: Attempted Forced Entry

UPDATE: Bridgeport Police have on suspect in custody on Fairfield Avenue and Poland Street.  The call was originally called into a Bridgeport Police Officer who then relayed the call the Emergency Call Center who then notified Fairfield Police, so they did get a good head start but Bridgeport Police had their eyes open for them!! 2020-02-10@3:56am--#Fairfield CT-- Two males on bicycles attempted to force their way in the back entrance by prying the door open at Dunkin Donuts on Tunxis Hill.  They fled towards North Avenue.   This news report is made possible by:

Fairfield News: Crash!

2020-02-08@6:41pm--#Fairfield CT-- It is slow going on Tunxis Hill Road East and Tunxis Hill Road with a two-car crash with injuries.  I told the officer I knew I'd be there tonight as the 5 way intersection lights were all on flash.  This is right next to the Bridgeport town line.  Tunxis Hill Road East becomes North Avenue in Bridgeport.

Fairfield News: Former CFO Arrested For Allegedly Taken Documents In Fill Investigation

On January 15, 2020, Robert Mayer was terminated from his employment as the Chief Financial Officer with the Town of Fairfield. On January 16, 2020 in the early morning hours, Mayer allegedly entered Sullivan Independence Hall and removed several file folders containing documents belonging to the Town, some of which related to the investigation of the “Fill Pile”. After a thorough investigation by the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau, an arrest warrant affidavit was presented before a Superior Court Judge who found that probable cause existed for a warrant for his arrest. On January 31, 2020 at 11:30am, Robert A. Mayer (DOB: 07/15/1942) turned himself in to Fairfield Police Headquarters where he was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Larceny…

Water Rescue

2020-02-01@#Bridgeport CT--#Fairfield CT-- Fairfield and Bridgeport both received a call for a man in a black wetsuit on a white board.  Nothing was found from the marina inlet in Fairfield to the Fayerweather Yacht Club on Brewster Street. There was however a black labrador dog splashing near a white pipe at St. Mary's By The Sea.  After an exhaustive search, it was called off.
