NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Department has released a new image of the individual sought in connection with a voyeurism incident that occurred at the South Norwalk Train Station on July 7. Investigators said the newly obtained image shows the suspect wearing a long-sleeve garment over the same T-shirt seen in the image released previously. Police hope the updated photo will help someone recognize the individual. As previously reported, the victim was walking up a staircase when she observed the man holding a cellphone beneath her dress with the video recording function activated. Members of the Norwalk Police Special Services Division concluded an investigation into two separate vape shops for illegal sales of cannabis products within the City of Norwalk. Officers executed search-and-seizure warrants at Norwalk Convenience, located at 213 Main Street, and Mr. Vape, located at 203 Liberty Square, both of which resulted in arrests. On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, officers executed the search warrant at Norwalk Convenience. During the execution, officers determined that Ahmed Salem Khayar was the sole occupant and clerk. A total of 4.43 ounces of cannabis products and nitrous oxide were seized, along with cash and other items of evidentiary value. The Norwalk Police Department is urging residents to take simple precautions after seeing an increase in vehicle thefts across the city. Police say many of the recent thefts involved unlocked vehicles or vehicles where key fobs were left inside, making them easy targets for thieves. The department is reminding residents to always lock their vehicles, remove valuables from sight, take key fobs with them whenever they exit a vehicle, and never leave a vehicle running unattended. Norwalk Man Arrested in Street Robbery Investigation

The Norwalk Police Detective Bureau has arrested a Norwalk man in connection with a robbery reported on May 19, 2026, near the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Larsen Street. According to police, patrol officers responded to the area at approximately 8:57 p.m. after a victim reported that an individual grabbed him and removed a wallet from his pants pocket.
