#Norwalk News: The Norwalk Department of Police Service currently holds (4) arrest warrants for Rashel Williams, date of birth May 25, 1981. The warrants charged Williams with larceny, ID theft, credit card fraud and forgery. Recently Williams worked at a local doctor’s office as a receptionist. During this time, she stole the credit card numbers and check information of patients. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Cisero at 203-854- 3034 or dcisero@norwalkct.org. Norwalk New: Threats Made At BMHS

On March 7, 2017, Brien McMahon High School (BMHS) Administration contacted the School Resource Officer assigned to BMHS regarding a threats complaint involving a BMHS student. The student had made an illustration that was perceived as threatening towards other students and staff. The student also made a list of students and staff who might be the subject of the threat. The School Resource Officer and Investigators from the Special Victims Unit immediately initiated an investigation and were able to obtain the aforementioned illustration and list. Investigators subsequently arrested the student and determined that the student did not have the means by which to carry out the threat. Westport News: Brush Fire

2:30pm--#Westport Connecticut-- Westport Firefighters were dispatched at 2:30 PM to the Merritt Parkway Southbound between exits 41-40 to assist Norwalk Firefighters at a brush fire. Engine 2, Engine 6 and Car 3 responded. Westport Firefighters arrived on scene and found an approximate 300’x 100’ area burning in the area of the West Rocks overpass with Norwalk Firefighters already on scene. Westport Firefighters worked along with Norwalk Firefighters to extinguish the fire. A total of 3 lines were stretched and operated. Crews remained on scene checking for hot spots and overhauling. The CSP was on scene and provided traffic control. The last Westport Fire unit cleared the scene at 3:42 PM. (Westport Fire Department Press Release)

Norwalk News: Fix It First For Norwalk Schools

The Fix It First Proposal was unveiled this week, an alternative to the Board of Education capital improvements plan. Both of the plans now under discussion attempt to address the challenges of overcrowding and deterioration. The Board’s plan prioritizes new classroom spaces with infrastructure and existing classroom improvements to follow, and the Fix It First plan prioritizes infrastructure and existing classroom improvements, and then school construction to follow. We in the Norwalk Federation of Teachers have felt dismay as the district’s plan ran into difficulties when the educational programs were selected, announced and not embraced.
