#Stratford, CT – The Stratford Health Department, in conjunction with the CT Food Bank and Holy Name of Jesus Church, is hosting a drive-thru food pantry in May as a way to address growing food insecurity rates while promoting social distancing and limiting the chance of spreading coronavirus. The drive-thru food pantry will be held on May 12th at Holy Name of Jesus Church, located at 1950 Barnum Avenue in Stratford, from 3:00 - 4:00 PM. #Stratford CT – As the spread of COVID-19 continues to surge across the region and the state, Mayor Laura Hoydick is directing the Stratford Police Department to issue infractions to those who are warned to observe social distancing directives at Town recreational areas per Governor Ned Lamont’s Executive Orders that are aimed at reducing the spread of the Coronavirus. The guideline in the Governor’s orders require residents to maintain a distance from one another of at least six feet apart, and to gather in groups no larger than 5 people at a time. STRATFORD- With the Governor’s executive order issued last night prohibiting groups congregating in numbers larger than five, Mayor Laura R. Hoydick indicated that the Stratford Police Department would be actively patrolling and enforcing the order. “I cannot stress the importance of this enough; social distancing is absolutely essential to slowing the spread of the Coronavirus,” said Mayor Hoydick. “I expect every resident will do their part to ensure that they are staying home as much as possible, and not congregating in groups of over five participants.
