Stratford Football Clinic Grades 9-12

#Stratford Connecticut–Lt. Curtis Eller of the Stratford Police Department will be hosting a one day football clinic at the Bunnell High School Auditorium on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Stratford News: Fraud Arrest

#Stratford Connecticut–On 02-27- 2017 Kimberly Lawton age 43 of Stratford was arrested by warrant for defrauding the United Illuminating Company of $4,823. The warrant is the result of an investigation started in October of 2016. Lawton allegedly used fake identities and social security numbers to obtain services from the UI and then did not pay the fees for the service. Lawton was arrested on 02-27- 2017 and charged with the following. 53a-124 Larceny 3rd 53a-130 Criminal Impersonation 53a-129d Identity Theft 3 rd .  Kimberly was given a court date of 03/08/2017, Bridgeport GA-2.

Stratford News: Car Crash In Front Of The Airport

1:55pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Report of a head on car crash with injuries in front the entrance to the airport at Lordship Boulevard/Burma Road at Great Meadow Road.  Radio reports say they temporarily closing the road way.

Stratford News: Moped Driver Critical After Collision With Car

On 02-17- 2017 at approximately 1956 hrs, Officers responded to an accident at the intersection of Canaan Road near Mary Avenue. The accident involved a Toyota Camry and a motor scooter. Preliminary investigation indicates that the moped operator was traveling south on Mary Avenue and attempted to cross Canaan Road to continue onto Mary Avenue. While crossing the intersection the Camry which was traveling west on Canaan Road collided with the moped. The operator of the moped was ejected and suffered serious injury. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment.

The accident is still under investigation and fault has not yet been determined. The operator of the Camry remained at the scene and was cooperative. The moped operator was last listed in critical condition.

Stratford News: Robbery Update

#Stratford Connecticut–Robert Keith Abel age 54 was arrested and charged with Robbery 2 nd , Larceny 4 th ,Larceny 2 nd and Attempted Robbery for his involvement in an attempted robbery at theWalgreens Pharmacy and a bank robbery at Webster Bank. The incidents occurred at approximately 1245 pm and 1 pm respectively.Abel was held on bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on 02-28- 2017.
