4:12am--#ctfire--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters were very quick on the scene of a porch fire at 458 East Avenue preventing the fire from extending into the home. Firefighters found on arrival heavy fire on the first floor porch. Firefighters were able to quickly hook a fire hose to their trucks to quickly knock down the fire. Additional hoses were hooked to the hydrants on the road but their quick actions kept the fire confined to the porch. The fire did not appear to extend into the home.
