5:31pm--#Bridgeport CT--Stratford CT--Two suspects wanted in the armed robbery at Booth Memorial Park in Stratford are in custody by Bridgeport Police on North Avenue near Island Brook Avenue. UPDATE--A firearm was located in the vehicle.
5:06pm-- Be on the look out for a Grey Nissan 2004 model Quest with a CT plate of 686LCL. Wanted are 3 males who robbed a person at Boothe Memorial Park, a handgun was displayed.
4:15pm--#Stratford CT-- Report of an armed robbery at Boothe Memorial Park. The robbers were 3 males who escaped in a grey minivan. A gun was displayed. Money, cellphone, and jewelry were taken.
1:22pm--#Bridgeport, CT – Bridgeport Firefighters responded to significant house fire at about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday. No serious injuries were reported. The fire happed at 951-953-959 Capitol Ave. in a three-story, three-family house. Assistant Fire Chief Ivan Fossesigurani said firefighters leaving the station on Congress Street could see smoke in the distance and, on arrival, encountered heavy fire coming from the second and third floors. He estimated the flames were shooting more than 25 feet into the air. Four fire engines, two ladder trucks and an assistant and deputy chief responded. An addition ladder and engine were staged in case additional resources were needed. 1:59pm--#Fairfield CT--An elderly driver hit a parked car and crashed into the Bed Bath and Beyond on Kings Highway this afternoon. The driver was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The building had minor damage to the bricks to the right of the entrance way.
2:46pm--#Norwalk CT-- Report of a smoking bush on Dry Hill Road. No report on what it's smoking. Firefighters on the way.
1:22pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Report of a structure fire at 958 Capitol Avenue. There is a report of flames coming out of the second story window.
10:57am--#Bridgeport CT--Report of a building that has collapsed at 41 Harborview Place. UPDATE-- This was a partial building collapse, a construction worker fell in the process, has only minor injuries, there is no further risk of collapse. The house was under remodeling and as you can see the beam to the left in the picture split in two. Fire marshall and building inspector are investigating.
12:44am--#Bridgeport CT--A jeep has hit a parked car at North Avenue and Colorado Avenue and rolled over. Three males ran from the jeep after the crash. I guess they didn't need a police report for their insurance.....
