Westport News: Inn At Longshore CC Lease Change

Westport, CT – The Westport Boards of Finance and Selectman have approved the request to assign the operating lease for the Inn at Longshore to Longshore Hospitality, LLC.  The town’s long-time tenant, Longshore Associates of Westport LP, commonly known by its principal, Rory Tagert, sought permission to assign its lease to a new and experienced group of hotel and restaurant operators known as Longshore Hospitality LLC, a partnership led by the Greenwich Hospitality Group.  The transfer to the new management team was negotiated and structured by Jim Randel of the Randel Law Offices, LLC of Westport, CT. Police UPDATE: On Monday, October 26, 2020 at approximately 10:40am, officers responded to aWestport business on a report of a burglary. The victim reported that a piece of furniture hadbeen stolen from the business sometime between the prior evening and the time of the call.Entry into the business had apparently been gained through an unlocked door. Through areview of surveillance video, a suspect was developed; identified as Timothy Holmstrom.Detectives ultimately recovered the missing piece of furniture from Holmstrom, who alsoreportedly confessed to the commission of the burglary. Holmstrom was charged with 53a-103 Burglary 3 rd Degree and 53a-124 Larceny FourthDegree. He was released on a $2,500.00 non-surety bond.
