11:50pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Two people were injured and taken to the hospital after they were assaulted by someone with a baseball bat in the 1800 block of East Main Street (near Essex Street). This news report is made possible by:
11:11pm--#Norwalk CT--#cttraffic-- A crash on the Merritt Parkway southbound between 41 and 40, reported being a car rolled over into the wooded area. The driver was reported unresponsive and had to be extricated by firefighters. This news report is made possible by:
8:28pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A pedestrian was struck by a car at 1015 Fairfield Avenue which is between Norman and Sherwood Avenue. The driver stopped and is cooperating with police. The pedestrian had unknown injuries and was transported to the hospital. Heavy fog conditions are making visibility difficult for drivers.
6:44pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A spin-out crash on I-95 northbound near exit 28 in the left break-down lane. It is slowing traffic but probably not worth detouring for.
12:55pm--#Fairfield CT-- A car crashed into a tree at Burr and Shetland Street. The driver fled on foot, a manhunt is taking place in the area with K-9. This news report is made possible by:
4:51pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Customers at Brewport and motorists traveling on I-95 called in a fire on the roof of 341 Railroad Avenue. Firefighters arrived and immediately called a second alarm due to the potential of a fire in this abandoned building. Deputy Fire Chief Lance Edwards said the building is abandoned but had workers in the building. The chief said the workers had left and he was unable to speak to them regarding the blaze. Firefighters were on scene ensuring there were no further hotspots past 6pm.
5:45pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A person was shot on Clover Hill Avenue near Old Town Road. Police spokesperson Terron Jones confirmed the victim was shot in the left leg and taken to St. Vincent's Hospital. There was no further information at this time. This news report is made possible by:
