Bridgeport News: Fire-Neighbor Cited As Hero

UPDATE: A  Trumbull Avenue woman became trapped on the roof of the porch of her Cape Cod style home because she was sleeping on the second floor when the fire broke out. A neighbor ran and got a ladder to rescued her. Fire officials say the neighbors are heroes for saving the woman’s life. The woman was taken to the hospital, unknown injuries. The homeowner says he lost virtually everything in the fire.     11:39pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A fire on the 2nd floor next door to 85 Trumbull Avenue.  An occupant of the building was transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation.   This news report is made possible by:

Bridgeport News: Person Shot Outside Of Tiago’s

2:00am--#Bridgeport CT-- Right at closing time police received a call for shots fired outside of Tiago's Bar and Grill at 211 State Street. The shots were fired from McLevy's Green right across the street. EMS was called for a security person at Tiago's who was trampled. A short time later a person arrived at the hospital shot in the back. A large area of State Street was taped off as a crime scene.

Bridgeport News: 14 Year Old Shooting UPDATE

#Bridgeport CTt-- Police said David Rivera DOB 12-10-03, (14 years old )shot twice the in torso and once in the face. Rivera was shot on Columbia St near the intersection of Park Terrace. Rivera fled to 55/65 Park Ter. PO Pires found the victim on the porch at this location injured. Pires also located a firearm that belonged to Rivera. The firearm was secured and medics rendered assistance. Rivera was transport to Bridgport ER where he underwent surgery. The crime scene was secured and the detective bureau responded.
