#Bridgeport CT-- Police arrested Jarod Hamilton, age 19 in connection with the shooting death of Khali Davis, on December 23rd in front of the Maple Deli at Kossuth and Maple Street. Davis was 22 and was the city's 23rd homicide for 2017.

9:55pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A woman has been hit by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Fairfield and Clinton Avenue. It appears she was hit by a Greater Bridgeport Transit bus but this has not been confirmed by anyone on the scene.
#Bridgeport CT--Today around 3pm the Snack Shop at at 604 Newfield Avenue was raided by police and city officials after pressure from City Council Member Eneida Martinez. The location corner of Revere and Newfield Avenue was the scene of the city's first homicide of 2018. Captain Roderick Porter told us that the area has become a nuisance. The store is open past midnight which Captain Porter said there is nothing around to warrant the store being open that late. He said it attracts unwanted activities like drug sales. Captain Porter said the city's health, building and fire departments were also on scene to look for any potential violations.
UPDATE: 3 Massachusetts tourist admit to breaking into the theater: Joshua Mollica, 21, of Berlin, MA, Ryan Mello, 33, of Quincy, MA, and John Mooney, 35, of Taunton, MA, were each charged with third-degree criminal trespass and released on a written promise to appear in court. 12:44am--#Bridgeport CT-- Police have two in custody after they broke into the Majestic Theater at 1325 Main Street. This sounds more like thrill seekers than homeless people. A developer was chosen over the summer to renovate and develop the long-dormant theater.
