9:44pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Just after putting out the fire Queen Street firefighters were called to 3300 Park Avenue for a kitchen fire first thought to be the dishwasher. Bridgeport News: House Fire

9:04pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Just as I was leaving the brush fire on Valley Road in Fairfield a call for a house fire on Queen Street a half a mile a way came in. I know the firefighters are quick but I couldn't believe how quickly they had the bulk of this fire knocked down. Multiple calls said there was flames shooting out of the chimney. When I arrived the fire had already spread to the roof and the side of the house. Everyone made it out safely and a police sergeant was consoling them. Fairfield News: Brush Fire

8:47pm--#Fairfield CT-- Firefighters were called to Random Road (off Valley Road) for a brush fire close to a structure. Firefighters quickly knocked the fire down. Firefighters told me the resident emptied contents from his fireplace which were supposedly out for a couple of days but obviously they weren't.

Trumbull News: Paraplegic Almost Drowns

5:38pm--#Trumbull CT-- Trumbull EMS and police were called to the Trumbull Marriott at 180 Hawley Lane initially for a drowning. About ten minutes from dispatch radio reports said a paraplegic doing aquatics and went under the water but was brought up but that he was coughing up blood. I'm awaiting an update from the Trumbull Police Public Affairs Officer.

Bridgeport News: Stabbing Behind School

1:30pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police are investigating a stabbing at 156 Chestnut Street behind Geraldine Johnson Elementary School. Police are checking their security cameras. The man was stabbed in the back near the spine. The shirtless man was able to walk to the stretcher.

Westport News: House Fire

6:02am--#Westport CT--This morning, the Westport Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 189 Cross Highway. The call came a trapped occupant reporting a fire in the house. The Westport Fire Department responded with all 11 firefighters and 4 officers on duty, along with Westport Police and EMS. Westport Police Officers were able to rescue the occupant from a first floor window as the fire department arrived. The occupant was transported to the hospital with non-life treating injuries. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and rescue 2 dogs that were still in the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
