9:44pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Just after putting out the fire Queen Street firefighters were called to 3300 Park Avenue for a kitchen fire first thought to be the dishwasher. 9:04pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Just as I was leaving the brush fire on Valley Road in Fairfield a call for a house fire on Queen Street a half a mile a way came in. I know the firefighters are quick but I couldn't believe how quickly they had the bulk of this fire knocked down. Multiple calls said there was flames shooting out of the chimney. When I arrived the fire had already spread to the roof and the side of the house. Everyone made it out safely and a police sergeant was consoling them. 8:47pm--#Fairfield CT-- Firefighters were called to Random Road (off Valley Road) for a brush fire close to a structure. Firefighters quickly knocked the fire down. Firefighters told me the resident emptied contents from his fireplace which were supposedly out for a couple of days but obviously they weren't.
5:38pm--#Trumbull CT-- Trumbull EMS and police were called to the Trumbull Marriott at 180 Hawley Lane initially for a drowning. About ten minutes from dispatch radio reports said a paraplegic doing aquatics and went under the water but was brought up but that he was coughing up blood. I'm awaiting an update from the Trumbull Police Public Affairs Officer.
