#Bridgeport CT-- A viewer just message me that there is someone in the upper Main Street area asking to see copies of her UI bill. She is afraid it is a scam. UI and police say if a person says they are from UI they will have identification on them.  You still do not have to let them in your home.  You can call UI offices to verify there are workers in the area.   More than likely it was a person trying to get her to switch to the electric supplier they represent, which is the reason they want to see the bill.  They want to show you how they can save you money.  Either way sadly you just never know.…

#Bridgeport CT – Mayor Joe Ganim announced today that planning has begun in preparation of the selection process for a Police Chief. An outside consultant has been hired to assist with arranging meetings with various stakeholders in our community who will have input on what they are looking for in a Police Chief. These meetings will include city staff, police department staff, elected officials, citizens, citizen groups and community organizations. Westport News: Threat To A Teacher

#Westport, CT-- On February 27, 2018 at approximately 9:00am, the Westport Police Department was contacted by Staples High School officials and advised a juvenile male student was overheard making threats to shoot a teacher. The student who overheard this statement reported it to school officials that morning. Officers and detectives responded to Staples High School where the male student was already being interviewed by school administration. Based on the information learned by school administrators, it was confirmed the student did have thoughts of executing a mass shooting at the high school. Bridgeport, CT – In anticipation of the pending winter storm due to impact Bridgeport, Mayor Joe Ganim is declaring a snow emergency for the city to take effect at 12:00 a.m., March 21, 2018.   During the snow emergency, residents must move their cars off posted snow emergency streets. March 21 is an ODD number day; therefore, residents should park on the side of the street withaddresses that are ODD numbers beginning tonight.  Snow emergency streets are marked with white signs with red lettering.
