POLICE UPDATE: #Bridgeport CT-- On Thursday, April 26th I first told you of an individual who showed up at Bridgeport Hospital stabbed in the eye. Police identified the man as Carl James, 23 of West Liberty Street, Bridgeport. Police Chief AJ Perez said that the victim was sitting in a car with his girlfriend at Norman and Fairfield Avenue. Police are trying to piece the story together but the victim is not cooperating. The man's injuries were serious enough to transport him to Yale New Haven Hospital. 9:50pm--#Stratford CT-- First responders on the way to Barnum Avenue and Califonia Street for a 15 year old male who was shot in the chest with a nail gun and the nail went through his back. 5:05pm--#Bridgeport CT- Heavy black smoke was seen over the East End from an attic fire at 449 Newfield Avenue. Firefighters were challenged to get in the attic as there was no front stairway to the attic. The firefighters had to go up the stairs from one apartment through a hallway and then up to the attic. Everyone made it out safely, one person suffered smoke inhalation. Red Cross is on the way to help those who live there.
UPDATE: Police spokesperson Av Harris confirmed it was a shooting, a female (transgender) was shot in the face and arm along with a broken jaw. Police believe the victim was targeted and known to her. Animal Control was called to take care of the victim's dog. 2:02pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A woman was stabbed at 284/286 Stillman Street.
