Norwalk News: Person Shot

UPDATE from Norwalk Police: On November 4, 2017, at 2:04am, officers patrolling Wall Street were flagged down by an employee of Market Bistro and Bar at 64 Wall Street. The employee stated a female had been shot inside the bar. Officers entered the location and located a twenty eight-year-old female suffering from a single gunshot wound to the torso. According to witnesses, the suspect fled the scene after the assault. Responding officers searched the area for the suspect however, he was not located. Norwalk Hospital Emergency Medical Service transported the female victim to the Norwalk Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Westport Police Officers Participate in No Shave Events

#Westport, CT-- You may see some of our officers looking more dapper than usual. This is because, for the third year in a row, members of the Westport Police Department are participating in “No Shave November.” No Shave November is a web-based, non-profit organization devoted to growing cancer awareness and raising funds to support cancer prevention, research, and education. For the month of November, members of the Westport Police Department are granted modified grooming standards in order to grow beards to donate to this cause. In order to participate, police officers made a donation of $50.00 each.
