Bridgeport News: Explosion/Fire Rips Through Multi Family Home
6:11pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- There was an explosion on the back deck of 92/94 Merchant Street and then fire quickly spread throughout the multi family home. A child was inside and an adult ran inside to rescue the child before the flames got out of control. Firefighters were quick on the scene and verified no one was inside the house. The flames did endanger the neighboring home but again firefighters were able to spray the home and protect it. Fallen Heroes Memorial Tribute
#Meriden Connecticut--The Connecticut Heroes Foundation held their 12th Annual Memorial Tribue at Hubbard Park in Meriden Saturday. Over the years the foundation has honored 54 fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This years honorees were Corporal Frank Navarro, Captain Andrew Pedersen-Keel, SP4 Phillip Ruminski, Jr., CUCM/DV Robert Steehem adn LTC Ronald Storz. Many local, state and federal officials attended.

The other car towards William and Armstrong Place which police were able to stop.
