#Westport Connecticut---On September 21, 2016 at approx. 6:24 p.m. officers were dispatched to 1790 Post Road East, Stop & Shop, on report of a shoplifting. It was further reported that the suspect, identified as Louis Bottone, was being detained by store security. The Security Officer Reported that he observed Mr. Bottone place a total of fourteen packs of Energy Drinks into a shopping bag and then watched him walk out of the store without paying. The Security Officer confronted Bottone outside of the store and detained him until the police arrived. The value of the stolen merchandise was $146.46. Mr. Bottone was charged with Larceny in the 6 th Degree and he was held on a $500 bond with a court date of September 28, 2016. (Westport Police…
