11:39pm--#Westport CT-- Firefighters on scene of a structure fire at 6 Leslie Lane. Firefighters had the bulk of the fire within 10 minutes. First and second searches of the home found no one inside. 3:34pm--Westport CT-- The Westport Fire Department responded to a scaffold collapse with two construction works injured at the Bedford Square construction site. Two construction works were getting setup on the 2nd floor to cut steel as part of the ongoing renovations and construction at 52 Post Road East as part of the project when the scaffold they were using tipped over. One worker was on the scaffold and the other was hit by it; both suffered non-life threating leg injuries. Westport EMS and Police also responded providing primary patient care while firefighters used ropes and rigging to set up a lowering system to remove the two construction workers from the 2nd floor of building. (August 26, 2015 Bridgeport Police Press Release) – This morning, the Bridgeport Police Department arrested a Waterbury man while saving a 17 year-old Bridgeport girl from suspected sex trafficking. On August 26, 2015 at around 2:30 a.m., police officers responded to a reported incident at the Sunnyside Inn (174 Lake St., Bridgeport, Conn.). After arriving on the scene, a 17 year-old Bridgeport girl alleged that Brandon Williams -- born on 03/16/81 of 21 Cliff St. in Waterbury, Conn. -- was holding the juvenile against her will, forcing her to engage in sex trafficking.
