Fairfield News: Bicyclist and Car Collide

11:31am--#Fairfield CT--Police are investigating an accident between a bicycle and car on the Post Road.  A car was exiting the Minekie Car Care when she collided with a bicyclist on the sidewalk, bike riding on the sidewalk in Fairfield is not illegal.  I'm told the man drove by bike from Stratford and was on his way to volunteer at Operation Hope.  He did not suffer any injuries in the mishap. I heard him apologizing to the driver of the car when I left the scene.

Westport News: Slow Speed Pursuit Into Fairfield

Malloy is directing U.S. and State of Connecticut flags to be flown at half-staff in the state in honor of the four United States Marines and a United States Navy officer slain in a Chattanooga, Tennessee shooting.  The Governor and Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statement:   “Connecticut and the nation stands with the people of Tennessee and the many communities that have been devastated by this tragedy.
