Bridgeport News: Driver Arrested After Police Find Marijuana, Ghost Gun During Traffic Stop

On August 29, 2024, officers stopped a vehicle at State Street and West Avenue due to an equipment issue. They found that the driver, Brian Figueiredo Silva, was operating the vehicle with an expired license. During the vehicle inspection, officers discovered a significant amount of marijuana, THC cartridges, and a firearm with an extended magazine. At around 1:25 AM, Troopers from Troop I in Bethany responded to reports of a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes near exit 12. Before Troopers could reach the scene, the wrong-way driver, identified as 39-year-old Andrea Lynn Marseglia of Orange, collided with another vehicle.
