Bridgeport Detectives Investigate 1st Homicide
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Jose Lebron, 28. UPDATE: #Bridgeport, CT-- Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at the corner of William and Ogden streets tonight. Police responded to the location shortly after 6 p.m. and found an adult male who had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. "Detectives are at the scene collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses," said police spokesman William Kaempffer. "The investigation is in its early stages. We are asking for the community's help. We can't and won't tolerate senseless gun violence in our neighborhoods. Our kids and families come first."
