4:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police were called to the 200 block of Ellsworth Street for a man being chased by a woman with a baseball bat, the man is screaming for help. A minute later police receive a call at William and Armstrong Street for man beating a pit bull with a stick. The man threatened people passing by asking him to stop.
3:24pm--#Stratford CT--Firefighters on the way to assist freeing people stuck on the 1001 (k)Nights ride at the carnival at 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff. The lift bar is stuck in the down position and the carnival operator is having problems freeing the people. 10:52am--#Fairfield CT--Police are being dispatched to the graduation at Fairfield University for an unknown problem at the graduation called in by EMS. 2:21am--#Bridgeport Ct--Wake up Bridgeport! Odor of gas indoors on Lee Avenue. Firefighters have no readings.
1:30am--#cttraffic--Shelton Police are in pursuit on Route 8 southbound, they just passed exit 10 and then broke off the pursuit.
10:56pm--#Bridgeport CT--Just before 11pm Saturday night firefighters responded to a call of fire at an abandoned house at 1801 Central Avenue. When they arrived they found heavy fire at the roof line and were concerned about the flames extending to the building to the left of it. Firefighters quickly got control of the fire, I was there within ten minutes of the call and all visible flames were out on my arrival. There was concern about a homeless man living in the attic but primary and secondary searches of the home found no one in the building. The fire marshal is on the scene investigating.
#New Haven CT--A man shot earlier at 465 Winthrop Avenue has passed away and detectives are now investigating this as a homicide. This is New Haven's second shooting Saturday night.
10:42pm--#cttraffic--I-95 southbound is at a crawl with a pedestrian that was hit by a car. Initial reports say he has a broken leg and may have fallen off the bridge near the railroad tracks. The person is out of the water, rescued on the Milford side.
