(Bridgeport, CT – April 14, 2014) -- Detectives have secured an arrest warrant charging a city man with approaching and groping two high school students on separate occasions in the East Side. Detectives Martin Heanue and Jorge Cintron secured the warrant on Thursday charging Harry Rodriguez, 40, of Hallet Street. He currently is jailed on unrelated charges. The warrant charges him with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, unlawful restraint and two counts each of risk of injury to a minor and breach of peace. He will be served with the warrant in Superior Court. (HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today released a cybersecurity plan for Connecticut’s utilities to help strengthen defense against possible future threats, such as a cyberattack. Connecticut is the first state to present a cybersecurity strategy in partnership with the utilities, and will share it with other states working on similar plans. (Bridgeport, CT – April 14, 2014) – Three youths reported being robbed by two people, including one with a handgun. Officer Daniel Orlich responded to Moffit Street Sunday for a possible shooting but could find no evidence of an incident. A short time later, he was sent to a house several streets away and spoke to the victims. They stated that they were walking just before 9 p.m. when two males approached and robbed them at gunpoint. When one of the victims attempted to flee, he heard a loud gunshot. No one was injured.

6:06pm--#Fairfield CT-- Around 6pm Monday police received a call to check on the welfare of their friend who lived at Clinton Street. When police arrived they found the house locked and requested help from the fire department in gaining access. When firefighters arrived they found that the man took his life by drinking a vial of potassium cyanide. Assistant Fire Chief said he did not intend to harm anyone else but himself and left a warning note to first responders. Two firefighters and two police officers were taken to the hospital as a precaution and quickly released and returned to the scene. #Fairfield CT-- Two police and two firefighters possibly exposed to cyanide during a well being check and transported to the hospital as a precaution. Police were sent for a well being check on a 70 year old man at 32 Clinton Road. The man was found dead but uncertain what took his life. Video report soon.
