#Bridgeport CT–Steffon Gooden gave no mind to his personal safety to prevent a house fire on Cowles Street in Bridgeport Saturday night. “My son is a hero he saved our whole family from a flaming pot that almost caught the house on fire said mother Krissy Littrell”. Steffon attempted to put the burning pot out with water. When that did not work he took the burning pot outside. “He was more worried about his brother,sister,girlfriend,me his mom an are dog an her puppies” said Krissy. Steffon did suffer first and second degree burns during the incident. Good job Steffon!

In a story you heard here first: Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Missing Man
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in located Jarvis Smith, 39, an Adjunct Professor at the Housatonic Community College, who was last seen by family members on 12/28/2013. He was reported missing last week.
Mr. Smith has not been at work since 12/13/2013, just prior to the school closing for the holidays. He was last seen dressed in business attire for work.
Smith is described as a African American male, medium brown complexion, bald head, clean shaven with wire frame classes, 5-6’ tall, 190 lb. stocky build. Police consider him as possibly endangered but there is no immediate indication of foul play.
If anyone comes into contact with him or knows his whereabouts, call the Bridgeport Police

3:33pm–#Fairfield CT–Firefighters were called to 1341 Redding Road for flames coming from the house. Turns out to be rubbish burning in a container on the side of the house. Firefighters extinguish the fire.

Bridgeport News: Stove as heater causes CO symptoms
12:48pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters on scene reporting high carbon monoxide levels at PT Barnum Housing Building 2 on Bird Street. Reports say the furnace is not at the building and a resident used her stove to heat the apartment. EMS was called to check the woman and her child. Housing was called to repair the furnace.

9:55pm–#Bridgeport CT–A car pursuit with four occupants on the East Side. 3 detained in the 600 block of Ogden Street after a brief foot pursuit. Forth in custody after a brief chase into backyards on Helen Street. Something seen being thrown from the car during the pursuit. Drug sniffing dog requested to the scene.
