10:11pm–#Bridgeport CT–Smoke on the first floor at 97 Austin Street. Firefighters on the way. UPDATE–Firefighters find a unresponsive man due to smoke inhalation inside the house. EMS on the way. Fire marshal requested to investigate.
Shots fired
9:43pm–#Bridgeport CT–Multiple reports of shots fired in the High Ridge Road area, No mention of anyone or anything being hit.
Liquor store armed robbery
8:55pm–#Bridgeport CT–Discount Liquors at 2077 East Main Street was just robbed at gunpoint. The robber fled on foot towards Huntington Road.
Bridgeport Crash
8:58pm–#Bridgeport CT–Report of an accident at Lincoln Avenue and Main Street. Avoid the area if you can.
Grill Indoors Causes High CO Readings
7:44pm–#Bridgeport CT–A gas grill located in apartment four at 1035 Fairfield Avenue, a six story condo unit was the cause of high carbon monoxide levels. Ladder 11 reported high readings of 3500 parts per million in two apartments. When the levels rose to 4500 parts per million the fire department requested the Health Department to the scene but they did not show because they are not on call tonight. Fire fighters turned off the stove and ventilated the complex. Special thanks to Garth Trotto in helping compile this report.
Assault outside the library
5:57pm–#Stratford CT–A “young woman” as described on the police scanner has a facial laceration after being assaulted by “Jammal” while outside the library on 2203 Main Street. A knife was displayed. The suspect took off on a blue bicycle towards the Baldwin Center on West Broad Street. Police are investigating and looking for him.
Pedestrian hit in Fairfield
5:41pm–#Fairfield CT–A pedestrian has been hit by the traffic circle in front of the Fairfield Motor Inn. Firefighter command car on scene confirming. UPDATE–Victim was hit at high speed and is unconscious but breathing. Location has been updated to be in front of the Circle Diner.
Basement fire
4:30pm–#Bridgeport CT–Report of a basement fire at 551 Park Street. Firefighters on the way. UPDATE: Police reporting everyone safely out of the building and firefighters arriving on scene reporting smoke coming from the back of the building.
Today’s Car Fire
3:28pm–#Westport CT–Today’s car fire is in Westport in a driveway at 3 Tuck Lane. Firefighters on the way.
Pocketbooks tossed
1:23pm–#Trumbull CT–Police are at Main and Evenyln Street where a couple of pocketbooks were tossed out of a car by two males. One pocketbook contained a breat pump while another contained multiple rewards cards.
