Fairfield CVS Robbed

707pm–#Fairfield CT–The CVS at 1968 Black Rock Turnpike has allegedly been robbed by a 5’3″ Hispanic male according to police radio reports.  Taken was cash from the safe, 2 bottles of oxycodone, 4 bottles of roxycodone and red flowers.  He carried it in a CVS bag he had in his hand   Fairfield Officer Kevin Kevin Wells and K-9 Ruger were quick on the scene but believe the suspect took off in a car somewhere behind the Bear and Grill Restaurants.   Customers inside the store and people waiting across the street for the city but had no idea anything had taken place.  The 24 hour store was closed and turning away customers when I left the scene around 7:40pm

Bridgeport Police Investigate Serious Accident

#Bridgeport, CT — Oct. 19, 2013 –4:30am– A man was critically injured in a five-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on Fairfield Avenue. the 2300 block. The investigation by the police Traffic Division revealed that a vehicle traveling on Fairfield Avenue collided with a parked vehicle, pushing it forward into other parked vehicles.

Because of the seriousness of the accident, the Major Accident Team was mobilized.
Two people — the 31-year-old driver of the vehicle as well a 25-year-old man who may have been sleeping in the back of one of the parked cars — were hospitalized. The man was listed in critical condition at Bridgeport Hospital. The female, whose injuries were less severe, was taken to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center.
It has not yet been determined whether alcohol was a contributing factor.
The victims’ names are being withheld pending notification of family members.
Officers Pedro Garcia and John Perry are leading the investigation with assistance from Officer  Jose Luna. Sgt.Gilberto Valentin is supervising the investigation.
