State Police Update: At approximately 10:38pm on Saturday, December 23, 2023, the Connecticut State Police responded to a reported single-car motor vehicle collision on Route 15 South, prior to exit 42. Upon arrival, troopers found a white 2016 Toyota Corolla with Connecticut registration #BK35022 stopped in the middle of two travel lanes. Additionally, a white 2021 Infiniti Q50, bearing Connecticut registration #845ZWN, was in the right shoulder with its front end against the wood beam guardrail. Preliminary investigation revealed that the Toyota, traveling southbound, collided with the concrete barrier in the median, leading it to an uncontrolled final rest in the left lane. At 5:00 AM on November 7, 2023, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received reports of a motor vehicle accident involving an individual evading responsibility at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Madison Street. Norwalk Police Officers promptly responded, locating a person who had been struck by the fleeing vehicle. The injured individual was urgently transported to Norwalk Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Taking charge of the investigation, the Norwalk Police Detective Bureau collaborated closely with the Crime Scene Unit and Crash Reconstruction Investigators.
