Police are investigating a serious crash involving two bicyclists at Birdseye Street and Everett Street in Stratford. According to unconfirmed radio reports, one of the bicyclists is in traumatic arrest; it is unclear at this time whether the two individuals were riding the same bike. The investigation remains active and no additional details have been released.
Due to a large water main break, Route 111 is closed from Gisella Road to the north end of Broadway to allow construction crews to make repairs. Please avoid this area and expect traffic delays. A detour has been setup using the north end of Broadway to the intersection at Whitney Avenue.

Easton Police Statement: At 12:13 p.m. on February 26, 2026, the Easton 911 Center received a call reporting that a person had fallen from the roof of a home at 270 Everett Road in Easton. The 911 Center immediately provided emergency instructions over the phone and dispatched Easton Volunteer EMS, Easton Police, and Easton Fire to the scene. Per a predetermined response plan, the closest available paramedic from the Town of Trumbull was also automatically alerted. Upon arrival, an Easton Police officer made patient contact and located a 24-year-old male lying on the back deck, unconscious and experiencing agonal respirations. Easton EMS and Fire personnel arrived shortly after, provided additional medical care, and extricated the patient from the property through…
A couple of news sources have reported an untimely death at Colonial Manor Condominiums, located at 1080 New Haven Avenue in Milford. Milford Police said, “It was an untimely death, and we do not believe there is anything criminal in nature,” and confirmed there is “no threat to the public.” Because police did not believe the incident was criminal and indicated there was no public safety concern, we chose not to post it at the time. We’re continuing to monitor for any official updates, including if the investigation’s status changes or additional verified information is released.
A Bridgeport man was sentenced Wednesday to 80 years in prison in a 2024 Bridgeport murder case on Stratford Avenue. Judge Keven Doyle sentenced Terence Gallimore, 35, to 60 years for the murder of Brandaja Winston, 28, on August 17th, 2024. Gallimore was also given 10 years for Assault in the First Degree for shooting and seriously injuring a 30-year-old man standing near her. Gallimore was a convicted felon at the time. Judge Doyle also sentenced him to 10 years for the charge of Criminal Possession of a Pistol, or Revolver. The sentences are to run consecutively.
