(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is directing Office of Policy and Management Secretary Jeffrey Beckham to waive service fees that Connecticut state agencies are required to begin collecting on credit, debit, and charge card transactions under a state law that takes effect July 1, 2022. Non-collection items are reported by sanitation personnel as a result of the presence of the following non-recyclable materials in recycling cans:· Plastic film of any sort (plastic grocery bags, trash bags, packing tape, bubble wrap, etc.)· Cardboard not broken down and left bundled next to the can.· Mixed trash with recyclables.· Grass clippings.· Styrofoam.Do not bag your recyclables; instead, leave them loose in your recycling cans. #Bridgeport CT-- On June 22, 2022, at approximately 0730 hours Traffic Division Sergeant Wilson was traveling east on State Street. He was flagged down by a distraught female. The female started yelling she was assaulted in the store by a male suspect. The female pointed at a gray vehicle attempting to leave the gas station. Sergeant Wilson pulled into the gas station and the gray vehicle made a quick U-turn and parked near a gas pump. He approached the vehicle which was operated by one male.
