#Trumbull CT-- A local woman is credited with saving the life of a child on Thursday night, June 9th,after she pulled the girl from the community swimming pool at the Ten Apartments, 100Oakview Drive, Trumbull. The victim, a five-year-old Trumbull girl, was foundunresponsive in the water at about 6:00 p.m., and was pulled out of the water. Abystander at the pool saw what was occurring, immediately stepped in to help, andbegan doing CPR and rescue breathing on the girl. A short time later, the girl coughedup water and regained consciousness. Governor Ned Lamont announced today the launch of Time to Own, a new state program offering down payment assistance to low and moderate-income homebuyers in Connecticut. Now accepting applications as of today, the program provides a new source of funds for down payment and closing costs for applicants applying to the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority’s (CHFA) First-Time Homebuyer Program. VIDEO REPORT: On June 13, 2022 at approximately 8:30 pm, Bridgeport Police responded to the PT Barnum Housing Complex on a ShotSpotter activation and citizens reporting numerous shots fired with a person shot near buildings 10 and 11. Patrol Officers and AMR Ambulance responded to the scene to find a 22-year-old Shelton man laying down on the ground next to building 11 suffering from numerous gunshot wounds. Medics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. Bridgeport Patrol Officers secured the crime scene and notified the Detective Bureau (DB). The DB Homicide Squad has taken charge of the investigation with Detectives from the Identification Unit currently collecting evidence within the housing complex. Police UPDATE: Bridgeport Police: At 1521hrs the Bridgeport ECC receive several calls regarding possible parties shot in the area of Fourth St. BPD was immediately dispatched to the area. While enroute the Bridgeport ECC received a call from Bridgeport Hospital reporting a GSW party was dropped off by a private vehicle. Unknown extent of injured.
