Homicide Investigation:The Stratford Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on LightStreet near Barnum Avenue at approximately 1am on this date. During the incident twoindividuals were shot by an unknown assailant. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A female victim was transported to a localhospital and is being treated for wounds received during the assault. At this time no names arebeing released until next of kin can be notified. BRIDGEPORT—On Thursday December 16, 2021 at 2116 hours, the Bridgeport EmergencyCommunications Center received a call of a party shot in Sammy’s Grocery & Dollar Store at 500 ParkAvenue. When Bridgeport Police officers arrived, they found the victim, Clinton Taylor (DOB: 6/25/98 of273 West Ave, Apt 211), deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Within minutes, Officer Cavalierelocated a suspect about a block away. After a foot pursuit, and with the assistance of other patrolofficers, the suspect was taken into custody.
