2019-08-15 @ 7:00pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A person was injured at 589 Trumbull Avenue when the oil they had on the stove flashed over sending the person to to the hospital with burns. 2019-08-14 @ Police received a report of shots fired at Maplewood and Howard Avenue. A short time later police received a report of "gun shot wound to his penis". The victim name is Rodney Moore 4-16-1958. He was not cooperative with suspect or location of incident. Police spokesperson Terron Jones confirmed it was at this location and that of this moment non-life threatening. This is the second shooting at this corner in a week. It is unknown if the health department will shut this store down.

MILFORD, Conn. (August 15, 2019) Boys & Girls Village received a $550,000 grant from the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) to support delivery of a Parenting Support Services (PSS) Program. The service supports and enhances positive functioning for families with children 0-18 years-of-age. Families enrolled in the program receive one of two PSS interventions, the Positive Parenting Program, which helps parents become resourceful problem solvers and create a positive and safe home learning environment, or the Circle of Security Parenting program, designed to build, support, and strengthen parents’ relationship capabilities. UPDATE: Much To Do About Nothing-- This was originally dispatched as a $30,000 embezzlement. Amy Thibault, Stop and Shop Manager of External Communications and Community Relations said the "$33,000 embezzlement did not happen". According to a preliminary police report police were called for a $33.00 larceny. An employee took a package of condoms and chips up to the employee lounge. Amy Thibault said it was an outside employee.
