Ansonia News: Homicide Not Car Accident

2020-08-30@4:50pm--#Ansonia CT--The Derby Police Department notified the Ansonia Police Department of an evading motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in the area of Coe Lane and North Coe Lane.  When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 20-year-old female suffering from upper-body injuries that were not consistent with a motor vehicle accident but rather an assault. The female was transported to Griffin Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The name of the victim will be released once the next of kin has been notified of her death. The Ansonia Police Department is currently working with the State of Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical examiner to determine the cause and manner of death. 2020-08-30@1:22am#Bridgeport CT--Three victims were shot in the area of 1052 Howard Avenue. This is the location of the homicide of George John that occurred on August 28, 2020. The victims, all male adults, report that they were attending a memorial celebration for John when they heard gunshots. Three victims were shot and were transported by private vehicles to St. Vincent’s Medical Center. All three victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to survive. The victims were unable to provide detectives with additional information regarding this incident. Bridgeport News: 2 Homicides In 24 Hours

#Bridgeport CT--On August 29, 2020, police dispatch received a report of a person down in the area of Iranistan Avenue and Hanover Street. Officers located a 24-year-old male victim lying on the sidewalk suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by AMR medical personnel. Detectives processed a crime scene at this location and are interviewing witnesses who may have knowledge of the incident. Bridgeport News: Stabbing

#Bridgeport CT--2020-08-29@ 01:15am--Aan officer patrolling in the area of Park Street Friday night came upon a male who was stabbed multiple times in the torso and face. This 44 year old male was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment of severe stab wounds and blood loss. The victim is expected to survive. Officers on the scene learned that the stabbing occurred at 105 Park Street and was the result of a domestic dispute between the male victim and his girlfriend. The girlfriend, identified as Trysh Brown 8/24/89, was on the scene at 105 Park Street and admitted to stabbing her boyfriend after a dispute over her minor daughter. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to booking. She is charged with Assault 1st Degree.…
