A person was shot at the corner of Success Ave and Caanan Road in Bridgeport. They were reported to have self transported to the hospital and their condition is unknown at this time. A person was also struck on a dirtbike also at Success Ave.
A 30-year-old Bridgeport man is in critical condition after police found him shot inside a car on Edwards Street near Reservoir Avenue in the city’s North End shortly before midnight Friday. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his wrist and thigh and was bleeding heavily when officers arrived. Patrol officers applied a potentially lifesaving tourniquet to his thigh before he was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for emergency surgery. General Investigations detectives responded, and the Major Crimes Unit processed the scene. The Detective Bureau’s Non-Fatal Shooting Task Force is investigating. A man was shot in the leg in a shooting outside the Ralphola Taylor Community Center at 790 Central Avenue. Initial radio reports said there was possibly a woman victim but no woman has shown up at any of the local hospitals. One man was seen being treated by EMS in the ambulance. Police were in the area and heard multiple shots from two different weapons. As police continue to investigate I'm certain info will continue to change.
