Ansonia News: Narcotics Arrest

#Ansonia CT--On March 29, 2023, the Ansonia Police Department and DEA New Haven Task Force with the assistance of the New Haven Police Department Criminal Intelligence Unit & Shooting Task Force and Connecticut State Police Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant on Howard Avenue in Ansonia. The warrant was the result of a joint investigation into the distribution of narcotics. During the service of the warrant, a large number of drugs and cash were recovered and the target of the investigation was arrested. Seized during the warrant were 448 grams of cocaine, 186 grams of crack, 10 grams of Fentanyl, and $100,000.00 in cash. #Westrport CT--On March 28th, 2023, an officer on patrol initiated a traffic stop on Post Rd East near the Fairfield town line. Incarcerated Man arrested for Violating Protective Order

#Shelton CT-- On 03/28/2023 the Shelton Police Department arrested 27-year Gordon Cole of Shelton.Cole was charged with one count of Violation of a Protective Order and remainedincarcerated on an additional $10,000 bond.Cole was previously arrested in Shelton on 12/29/2022 for several Domestic Violencecharges including 7 counts of violation of a protective order. After the December arrest,Cole was incarcerated and the court issued a Protective Order stating that he is to have nocontact with the victim in the original arrest.During Cole’s incarceration, the Department of Correction alerted Law Enforcement thatthey suspected Cole of having phone conversations with the victim from the originalarrest. How about some likes for a trucker who stopped his rounds to save a man and dog from a burning car. As I first reported tonight at 8:11pm, firefighters were called to a car fire on I-95 near exit 19. As Assistant Fire Chief Gomola pulled up to the scene you can see a truck to the right that was protecting the scene from oncoming cars. Assistant Chief Gomola told me that a trucker from Maine pulled the man from the car, pulled him to a safe spot, and then went in to rescue the man's German Shepherd in the back seat.
