Suspect Arrested Following City Hall Restroom Recording

On August 17, 2026, at 1:27 PM, Norwalk Patrol Officers were dispatched to Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Avenue, following a report of a suspicious person. Norwalk Combined Dispatch advised responding officers that a male suspect had entered a women’s restroom, used a cell phone to record an individual inside, and then fled the area. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, who reported that while inside a stall in the women’s restroom, an individual held a cell phone underneath the stall and appeared to be recording. The suspect then fled the area. Responding officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect but were unable to locate him. Westport Provides Flood Recovery Update

WESTPORT, CT — Following yesterday’s significant flooding throughout Westport, Town crews continue working to evaluate roads, drainage systems, public infrastructure and other affected areas. Residents may continue to encounter standing water, debris, and other impacts as cleanup and inspections proceed. Residents should continue to remain cautious and avoid areas that may still be hazardous. Westport emergency responders handled 130 flood-related calls, rescued 13 people from vehicles and evacuated five residents from a care facility. OVER 100 MORNING FLOOD-RELATED CALLS

The Bridgeport Police Department responded to approximately 100 flood-related calls during a period of five hours Sunday morning after heavy rains rapidly inundated the entire city. Many of the calls were for stranded vehicles in flooded intersections, after motorists attempted to drive through the water. Numerous drivers abandoned their vehicles that were disabled by flooding in dangerous places in the road. Those vehicles had to be towed. There were also many calls for severe water leaks in homes and commercial properties. The flooding and leaks also created traffic congestion in many neighborhoods. BRIDGEPORT POLICE ARREST MAN INVOLVED IN HIT-AND-RUN

On March 19, 2025, at approximately 9:42 a.m., the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received multiple calls reporting a pedestrian had been struck at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Ellsworth Street. American Medical Response, Bridgeport Fire Engine 7, and Bridgeport Police Officers were dispatched to the location. Officers were advised that the responsible SUV had fled the scene. Upon arrival, Bridgeport Police Officers observed a female pedestrian lying face down in the eastbound lane at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Ellsworth Street. American Medical Response and Bridgeport Fire Engine 7 personnel arrived and rendered aid. Police say many of the recent thefts involved unlocked vehicles or vehicles where key fobs were left inside, making them easy targets for thieves. Norwalk Man Arrested in Street Robbery Investigation

The Norwalk Police Detective Bureau has arrested a Norwalk man in connection with a robbery reported on May 19, 2026, near the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Larsen Street. According to police, patrol officers responded to the area at approximately 8:57 p.m. after a victim reported that an individual grabbed him and removed a wallet from his pants pocket.
