On November 4, 2026, at 4:07 AM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle accident involving a scooter near 650 West Avenue. Norwalk Police, Norwalk Fire Department, and Norwalk Hospital Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene and began providing medical aid to the scooter operator, 46-year-old Christopher Moorer of Norwalk. Moorer was transported by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Norwalk Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit and Identification Unit responded to process the scene and assume the investigation. The investigation remains active.
